Heating Service Checklist

• Change all air filters
• Tighten all electrical connections
• Clear/winterize condensate drains
• Install union in drain line to facilitate easy servicing
• Clean/check condensate pump
• Set time of day and programming of thermostats
• Check system for mold growth
• Check ductwork for air leaks
• Check roof/attic for signs of pests, damage, etc.
• Check aquastat operation
• Check for airbound hydronic circuits
• Check boiler temperature/pressure
• Check for leaking boiler parts
• Check condition of water heater
• Check operation of high limits in all heating units
• Check systems for carbon monoxide
• Clean flame sensors
• Change humidifier pads
• Verify proper temperature rise in furnaces
• Perform any necessary air balancing
